LIBRARY
The Guild has an extensive library of books and magazines about weaving, dyeing, spinning, knitting, rug hooking and other fibre related arts. You can browse the library contents online, organized by category or author.
There is no “due date” when you borrow, nor are you restricted to one item at a time; however it is expected that a few items for no more than a month are reasonable. The library is open during the meetings or you can ask one of the members of the executive or the librarian to arrange a time to visit the Library.

WORKSHOPS
The Guild organizes one to several workshops a year based on the interests expressed by the membership. The executive generally plans for workshops a year or more in advance and welcomes suggestions and ideas from all members. We try to accommodate the interests of all our members by sponsoring workshops to develop skills and introduce new techniques. Sometimes these are led by our own members and sometimes we bring people in from outside. When space permits, non-members are encouraged to participate in our workshops. For an updated list of upcoming workshops and events, please check out the Events section of our website, or our Facebook page.

FUNDRAISING
In order to fund our workshops, library, equipment and bursary we do some fundraising. Our main fundraiser is a silent auction held in the fall, where members donate original fibre art creations to be sold at a specific venue. We often participate in Arts In the Park in the summer where we demonstrate different crafts to the public. Every year the executive also makes an application to the Yukon Government Arts Funding Program.

ANNUAL RETREAT
Every year we have a spring retreat. Sometimes they are very structured and comprise a number of workshops. Other times they are simply a time for people to get together to work on their current projects and exchange tips and strategies.
