Felt in Form, sculptural Wet Felting workshop
Location: Golden Age Society Multipurpose Room

Workshop description:
It is from the dance of conflicting emotions that creativity and art are born. Though sculpture is usually perceived as static I see it more as movement, the movement of wool from fibers into felt. And as long as there is movement there is life.
This 3 day workshop will deepen the consciousness about experiences learned from sculpting with felt and other fibers. We will explore different sculptural form ideas, with  themes like : folding and unfolding, building relief, adding shape to another surface . All to become more aware of how, and why, we want to use this medium. This workshop is inspired by ideas to make a three dimensional  sculptures.  We will play with the processes of shortening ,thickening, tightening and shrinking of felted surfaces.
Focus on basics like color, design, and conceptions of an artwork.
Some wet felting experience required. Maximum 12 students for a workshop.
